Best trigger for the Model 70, period. Retains the best characteristics of the original open design, but better than even a tuned factory trigger. Has substantially less side to side flop (it’s a tighter fit on the trigger pin–I had to lap mine on the trigger pin a tiny bit to fit–which is what you want), a very firm but tunable setscrew to determine the amount of sear engagement you want, and the same mechanism to control over travel that the factory uses. When I set mine up it broke at 2 lbs and no amount of beating on the action with a mallet could get it to go accidentally go off. Try that with a factory trigger. I increased the sear engagement to leave it at 2.75 lbs. It also maintains the factory positive sear angle–despite the light pull weight, if you move it very slightly, the trigger wants to return to full engagement with the sear. As light a pull as you’d want, no trigger wobble, very crisp…and very safe. Dream come true, basically.

After installing a timney and having major issues with it, I bought the Rifle Basix trigger and couldn’t be happier. Easy to install, 1.75LB pull weight, super crisp, little to no over travel and did I say EASY to Install! I’m sorry I wasted my time and money on the timney. Thank you for building a Great Product.
